AFCON: Eagles intensify training ahead of Tanzania clash

The Super Eagles are in top gear for their upcoming match against Tanzania  on Sunday, training intensely to keep ahead of their Group C clash against Tanzania in the 2025 AFCON on Tuesday, The Bettingvoice reports.

Nigeria and Tanzania will meet at the Complex Sportif de Fes, in the first match of Group C on Tuesday to determine who leads with 3 points.

Following their arrival in Morocco last Thursday, Every team worked tirelessly to put touches to all positions as regards all victories, but in all there must always be a winning side.

In preparation,the three-time African champions played at neutral ground with the host country which they  lost 2-1 in a pre-tournament friendly.

The Taifa Stars, coached by Miguel Gamondi, are resurfacing for the fourth time in the Africa Cup of Nations, following their group stage exits in the year 1980, 2019 and 2023.

Gamondi will showcase his team power and  strategies around key players like captain Mbwana Samatta who plays for Le Havre in the French Ligue 1, and Simon Msuva focused player in Iraq. These two names mentioned  are very experienced when it comes to the international stage. 

Players like  Mohammed Hussein who plays for Young Africans in the Tanzania Premier League, and  midfielder Feisal Salum in the Tanzania Premier League with Azam FC will keep the hope alive.

After Tuesday’s group opener, Nigeria will be playing Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles on December 27 and Uganda’s Cranes on December 30.

The 2025 AFCON kicked off on Sunday with hosts Morocco defeating  Comoros 2-0 after 90 min.
