Falconets Thrash New Caledonia, Set Sights on England Clash

Nigeria’s Falconets are through to the Round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after a big 10-1 win over New Caledonia. The match result puts them through to face England in their next.

Falconets Score Freely From the Start

The Falconets took control from the early kick off as  Ramotalahi Kareem opened the scoring from the penalty spot in the 17th minute and Rebecca Adegbemile made it 2-0 two minutes later. Janet Akekoromowei added a third in the 23rd minute and Kareem scored again just before half-time. Nigeria leading a 4-0 up at the HT, meaning over 3.5 goals player for betors who bet on under/over gaols market.

Second Half Goal Rush

After the HT break comes more goals, Substitute Winner Onajite David scored a hat-trick, scoring in the 60th, 75th and stoppage time minutes. A Much Needed Result

The Falconets started the tournament in a poor performance losting to Spain 2-0 in their opening game, then played a goalless draw with China. This win against New Caledonia was the result they needed to finish second in Group F and book their place in the knockout stage.

Next Up: England

Nigeria will enter the Round of 16 on Thursday facing England, the winners of Group E. It will be  a tough match, but the Falconets are full of confidence after their biggest win of the tournament so far. Fans will be hoping the goal scoring form continues.
