Erling Haaland ended his three-game drought by scoring his 100th goal against Fulham in the nine-goal thriller.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

He was tipped to break the long-standing record held by Newcastle legend Alan Shearer who scored 100 goals in 124 games.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Haaland became the new record holder for the fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals in 111 games. His 100th goal got Manchester City running in West London when he met a Jeremy Doku cross to fire one past Bernd Leno<\/a> right down the middle of Fulham’s goal. <\/span>

\n<\/i><\/b>Erling Haaland joined Pep Guardiola\u2019s side in 2022 and he has proven to be the star man for Manchester City with his form continually shining brilliantly.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The match versus Fulham was nothing short of a thriller. After Haaland\u2019s 100th goal, he set up Reijnder for Manchester City\u2019s 2nd of the evening. The onslaught was still on as Phil Foden, still enjoying his new found form, netted City\u2019s third with a strike after Fulham failed to clear their lines.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Former Arsenal man, Smith Rowe reduced the deficit heading home Wilson cross which caught Donnarumma offguard.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the restart, Fulham were still trying to get themselves together when Phil Foden arriving at the near post slotted in the ball before Bernd Leno could collect it after a missed cue by Haaland.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It was more woes – self-inflicted to say the least by Fulham as Timothy Castagne failed to clear a cross that fell kindly for Doku who had his shot deflected for a Sander Berge own goal to make it 5-1 to City.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But the hosts were determined to put up a fight and they did following City\u2019s 5th goal.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And that fight began with an Alex Iwobi strike from distance to beat Donnarumma on the left side of his goal post. Haaland hit the cross bar almost immediately but it was the Nigerian International Samuel Chukwueze with a venomous shot through the bodies of City defenders.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They weren\u2019t done as Chukwueze met a punched ball from Donnarumma from a Fulham corner to score the hosts 4th. For all their efforts to secure the equalizer, Josko Gvardiol\u2019s goal line clearance in the 98 minute ensured that Guardiola\u2019s side took all three points. <\/span>
